Pyzzla.com (the "Service") is a gaming platform where users play picture games ("find the parts in the whole"), create their own games from uploaded images and share them with others. The Service is provided by Gr8eam AB, corporate identity number 559599-8245 ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you accept these Terms.
You need an account to create games, save results and appear on leaderboards. When registering, you provide your email address (which is also your username when logging in), an alias that is displayed to other players, and a password. You are responsible for ensuring that the information is accurate and that no one else gains access to your password. The account is personal and may not be transferred.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
When you play, the game round is logged (including playing time, result and time of play). Your alias and your playing time may be displayed on leaderboards that are visible to other players. If you choose to play without an account, you are shown as "Anonymous".
Competition games. Certain games are marked with a trophy and are competition games in which players can win prizes. A competition game, like all games, may be played no more than three times per day by one and the same player. Prizes are taxed in accordance with applicable tax rules, and any tax on prizes is paid by the winners themselves; Pyzzla does not withhold or report tax on the winner's behalf. Winners may be required to have a registered account and are contacted via the account's email address.
Participation requires a complete profile. To take part in a competition and be able to win a prize, you must have an account with a complete profile: age, gender, country, at least one locality and at least three interests. If any of this information is missing, you cannot play competition games. The information is needed so that we can determine which prizes can be awarded where you live and so that we can reach you if you win.
The competition’s country. A competition only applies in the country, or countries, specified for it. You can only take part if your account is registered in that country and you are connecting from there. Where you are connecting from is determined from your IP address.
Prizes and gift cards. Who provides the prize is stated in the competition. Where Pyzzla provides the prize, it normally consists of a digital gift card from an online retailer. Which retailers apply and what amount is awarded in an individual competition is stated on the competition page and may change between competitions. A gift card cannot be redeemed for cash: under the retailer's terms, a refund can only be made to the person who purchased the gift card, and that is Pyzzla. The gift card's period of validity and terms of use are determined by the retailer that issued it.
Prizes provided by the creator of the competition. A competition game may also be created by, for example, an advertiser or an exhibitor at a trade fair, who then provides and awards the prize themselves, for example tickets. If you win such a competition game, we pass your name and email address to the creator so that the prize can be awarded. This applies only to the winners — other participants' details are never disclosed. The creator is solely responsible for the prize and for awarding it, and may use the details only for that purpose (see section 5 and the Privacy Policy).
Referral links. For certain games, logged-in players receive a personal link containing a referral code. When someone plays via the link and then logs in, it is recorded that you referred that player to the game. A referral is counted only once per player and game, and you cannot refer yourself. The code is stored temporarily in a cookie on the device of the person who clicks the link (see section 7).
You may only upload images that you yourself have the right to use. Images must not contain illegal, offensive, hateful, pornographic or otherwise inappropriate content, and must not depict identifiable persons without their consent. By uploading an image, you grant us the right to store, process (e.g. scale and crop) and display it within the Service. You retain all rights to your images. We may remove content that violates these Terms without prior notice.
For images that you contribute to the Service's shared image pool, the following applies instead: contributed images become the property of Pyzzla upon upload, and Pyzzla reserves the right to modify or remove such images without stating reasons.
A short advertisement is shown after each game round. Advertisers can purchase views of their games for a fee and create their own advertisements in the Service's ad editor. The following also applies to advertisers:
a) The advertiser bears full responsibility for the content of the advertisement, including ensuring that it complies with applicable law and marketing rules and does not infringe the rights of others.
b) We reserve the right to refuse, pause or remove advertisements that we consider inappropriate, without any obligation to refund in the event of a breach of the rules.
c) Purchased views apply to the game for which they were purchased and are non-refundable. Prices are stated exclusive of VAT, and payment terms are stated at the time of purchase. Purchased views are valid for twelve months from the purchase; views still unused after that expire. Unused views may be transferred between the advertiser's own games.
d) If the advertiser offers a prize or competition, the advertiser is solely responsible for the prize, its delivery and for ensuring that any competition rules and taxes are handled correctly.
e) If the advertiser provides the prize in a competition game, the advertiser receives the winners' names and email addresses in order to award the prize. The advertiser is an independent controller of that personal data, may use it only to award the prize, may not use it for marketing or pass it on, and must erase it once the prize has been awarded.
We process the information you provide when registering (name, email address, alias and, optionally, date of birth, country, language, localities and interests) and information generated when you use the Service (game history, IP address, session data). The information is used to provide the Service: login, leaderboards, language adaptation and to display advertisements that are relevant to you, e.g. based on locality and interests.
We do not sell your personal data. Information is disclosed to third parties only when required for the operation of the Service or by law, and when you win a competition game in which the creator awards the prize themselves — the creator then receives your name and email address (see section 3). You have the right to know what information we hold about you, to have inaccurate information corrected and to have your account and your information erased. Contact us via the contact form (login required). See also our Privacy Policy.
The Service uses cookies and similar technologies for login, sessions and to remember, for example, that a game round has already been counted. Without these, the Service does not function as intended. If you open a game via a referral link, the referral code is stored in a cookie for up to 30 days so that the referral can be registered when you log in.
The Service, its name, logo, design and software belong to us. Content uploaded by users and advertisers belongs to the respective uploader in accordance with sections 4 and 5.
The Service is provided "as is". We strive for high availability but do not guarantee that the Service will always be error-free or available. We are not liable for the content of advertisements or of images uploaded by users, nor for indirect damage or loss of profit, except to the extent that mandatory law provides otherwise.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the Service or use it in a way that harms other users, advertisers or us. You may close your account at any time by contacting us via the contact form.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Service or by email before they take effect. Continued use after the changes have taken effect means that you accept the new Terms.
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. If you are a consumer and live in a country other than Sweden, you nevertheless retain the protection afforded to you by the mandatory consumer protection rules of your home country.
The Terms are written in Swedish, and the Swedish text is the original. Translations into other languages are provided as a service. If a translation differs from the Swedish text, the Swedish text prevails, to the extent that mandatory law does not provide otherwise.
Disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be settled by the Swedish general courts. For traders, such as advertisers, disputes shall be settled exclusively by the Swedish general courts. However, if you are a consumer living in another EU or EEA country, you may always also bring an action before the courts of the country where you live, and we may only bring an action against you there. As a consumer, you may also turn to the Swedish National Board for Consumer Disputes (Allmänna reklamationsnämnden, ARN), arn.se.
